What is Branding?
To understand branding we think its better to point out what it isn’t. Branding isn’t just a logo, a website or a set of matching stationery. Branding could include all of these elements but it is much more than that. Branding can be emotional. People wear brands, they buy branded food and they talk about brands.
David Ogilvy is often called ‘The Father of Advertising” and he refers to a brand as the “intangible sum of a product's attributes: its name, packaging, and price, its history, its reputation, and the way it's advertised.”
Its common sense that people like to do business with companies that they are familiar with therefore if your branding is consistent and easily recognisable it builds trust. It can help your customers because they know exactly what service or product they are buying.
