ABOUT
The National Lido of Wales is situated in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park in Pontypridd. The Visitors Centre is situated on the first floor, above the Waterside Café.
We worked with the regeneration department at Rhondda Cynon Taf County Council to undertake research into the history of the Lido and create the visitors centre that illuminates the interesting hostory of the building and the people that used it.
You can follow a timeline of history documenting the changes to the lido, from the vibrant 1920 to its decline and then renovation and reopening in 2015. Explore photographs, artifacts and interact with the digital screens and listening posts.
